Supporting the environment and wildlife on the site

fantastic Mr Fox-friend or foe?

The primary aim of the association is to manage the site for the production of fruit and vegetables. But fortunately there are some wild and uncultivatable areas on both fields and the Association has the opportunity to manage these in an environmentally friendly way to enhance the flora and fauna and to provide pleasant areas for our social activities. We already have two beehives on site (managed by Andy Watters on the lower field) and we will report progress with our bees on this website.

With a view to progressing this environmental aim it has been agreed to set up a small sub-committee chaired by Phill Hughes to assess what can be done. The terms of reference of this group are set out at the end of the minutes of the December 2009 Committee meeting.
